Maintaining Your Jewelry.

Each piece of Keylee Style jewelry is unique and handmade in the US. The proper way to care for your jewelry will depend on what elements it is made of and

Gemstones & Crystals: Gemstone & Crystal pieces need to be cleansed and charged to maintain their energetic properties. Running water, sunlight, moonlight, and other crystals are the most common ways to do this. Daily wear is an easy solution. Storing your crystal pieces on an Amethyst, Quartz, or Selenite plate or in a geode will also give them a good charge. Don’t forget to cleanse them first, crystals are absorbing energy constantly so you want to make sure you cleanse them of the negative energy before you charge back up. You can do this as often as you like but at least once a month is recommended.

Do not use any chemical cleaners on your crystals. Over time some crystals may endure a slight change in color, embrace this change we all evolve.

Be GENTLE! Crystals and Gemstones can and will break or crack under pressure, just like us. Many of our Crystal pieces are strung on stretch, stretch is durable but not unbreakable. If you break one of your pieces collect the beads and notify us to have it restrung. You can avoid breakage by being gentle with your pieces when you put them on and take them off and not exposing them to chlorine or saltwater for extended periods of time. You may own pieces that are strung on silk or wire. Silk is very strong but may stretch slightly over time. You can always reach out to us to have your pieces restrung.

Pearls: Pearls are created by living organisms and become more beautiful over time as they are worn. Avoid getting lotion, hairspray, or perfume on your Pearls. A soft cloth and warm water can be used to wipe your Pearls and if needed you can use a few drops of mild detergent in the warm water- don’t forget to rinse them when done.

Gold Plated: The gold pieces used by Keylee Style are 14kt gold-filled. A soft cloth and warm water should be used for cleaning. Avoid prolong exposure to chlorine and saltwater as they may cause discoloration.
